Patternless
- A solid body of any colour such as buckskin, olive, chocolate, red, orange, yellow and near black as well as many other shades.
Bi-Colour
- Patternless gecko displaying two distinct colours.
- One colour on the head and dorsal and another colour on the body and legs.
Dalmatian
- Fair amount of spotting covering the entire body.
- They can come in different colours such as black, red and white.
- Over 100 small spots or 50 large spots would classify the crested gecko as a Super Dalmatian.
Tiger
- Horizontal stripes darker than the base colour which extends from the dorsal in an unbroken line down the belly.
Brindle
- Similar in appearance to the Tiger morph however the horizontal stripes are broken.
Flame
- Area of bright, patterned colour that covers their head and runs in a stripe down their back.
Chevron
- A flame crested gecko with a very distinct 'V' patterning down the dorsal.
Harlequin
- Very similar in appearance to the flame apart from they will display additional patterning elsewhere on the body such as the legs and the sides.
Pinstripe
- A crested gecko that displays elongated pin scales, highlighted in either white or cream along the borders of the dorsal stripe.
Reverse Pinstripe
- A crested gecko that displays elongated pin scales, highlighted in either white or cream along the borders of the dorsal stripe.
Blonde
- A crested gecko with a dark base colour that contrasts with the creamy dorsal patterning.
Cream on Cream
- Very rare colour combination of a light base colour with a creamy dorsal colouration.
Halloween
- A crested gecko with near black and orange markings.
Tricolour
- A crested gecko generally similar in appearance to the Halloween but with additional cream colouration.
Creamsicle
- A crested gecko with a orange base colour and cream dorsal patterning.
Moonglow
- A very light crested gecko almost white in appearance when fired up and when fired down.
Axanthic
- The Axanthic is a recent discovery and is believed to be a recessive trait.
Crowned
- The length of the crested gecko's head must be less than 1.5 times the size of the width of the head.
- A crested gecko with a wide head has a crowned head.
Floppy Crest
- A very desirable trait where the head is so wide and the crests so thick that they droop down on the sides of the crested gecko's face.
Baldy
- An undesirable trait where the crests are short and undefined.
Gator Head
- An undesirable trait which is the opposite of the Crowned head.
- The crested geckos will have long narrow snouts.
Wide Dorsal
- A desirable trait where the dorsal stripe is wider than usual.
Lateral Stripe
- A desirable trait where striping appears across the sides of the crested gecko.
- They usually appear halfway up the body and determine a break in colour along the body.
- A crested gecko with pinstriping and lateral stripes is know as a 'Quad Striped' crested gecko.
